Jesus, lead me in a life of prayer constantly.

See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing: in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit: do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from everyform of evil. -1 Thessalonians 5:15-22

This verse ties in so well with the last one, I had to share the whole section. Below is the paraphrased Matthew Henry Commentary on verses 16-18, "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing: in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

We can easily rejoice in the comfortable things and the things that we need to stay alive, like food: but if we rejoice in God, we constantly rejoice. A true life in Christ is a life of constant joy. If we prayed more we would rejoice more. Prayer will help continue every good work. If we pray without ceasing, we give God thanksgiving in every thing. We will see cause to give thanks when we lack or don't, for common and uncommon, past and present, temporal and spiritual mercies. Not only for prosperous and pleasing, but also for painful events, for discipline and criticism; for God designs all for our good, though we at present how they will work together.
